Hi guys

This game is a basic side scrolling shooter game, hence the title. What's unique is that it saves the entire state of the game on quit. You have everything from mines, time bombs, weapons, a dynamic map, player upgrades, and more!

If you keep playing, you'll unlock new items as you play!

This is still in very early stages.

Descriptions of some items

Blades

These blades are placed at intervals throughout the map. They make a woosh sound, and if you get under them when they swing, you get hit.

Projectiles (Level 15+)

These are signified by a humming or whining noise. Don't get hit by them, as they do lots of damage!

Mines

These buggers cause chaos. If you spawn one and an enemy steps on it, it will hurt anything within a ten tile radius, including you.

Time bombs

When spawned, you have a small amount of time to get out of the way before it explodes and causes massive waves of damage!

Been playing for a while now, and am thoroughly enjoying myself. But, I couldn't help but notice the following:

- enemy callers spawn all enemies at the same spot, causing them to instakill one another in a rather short amount of time. Maybe spreading them over the map so they at least have to run around a bit might solve this.

- When using several enemy callers and having a lot of npcs on the map, will eventually cause at least one of them to pick either an ambush or to use an item grabber, picking up ambushes anyway. This will eventually make the game unplayable since more enemies means more items, means more ambush or callers, means some npc will grab them, meaning... you get the idea

- New item: tree trunk or any other wooden material, so one can build a nice large fire as trap for npcs for instance

- slow down npcs fireing their weapons: they have double if not more the speed of a human pressing the spacebar.

- npcs some times seem to get stuck jumping aimlessly or in bridge steps when trying to combine horizontal and vertical movement
